Psalms 18:2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Psalms 92:15 To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteiousness in him.
Psalms 94:22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
I have through the years seen many pictures of this area of one of our national parks. It has been named "Half Dome" and thousands of people seek to climb it. But when I see it, I am always reminded of these verses of the character of God and how it applies to our life. When all seems to be in turmoil around us and there is no peace, we can go to God in faith knowing that He never changes and is always faithful to meet our every need. We, too can "climb" to new heights with Him as our strength and we can be assured that His strength is made perfect in our weakness. (2 Cr 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.)
